Learning to "Skip Count" helps you to:
In skip counting, you learn how to skip a certain number.
Normal counting to 12 looks like this:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
In skip counting by 2, it looks like this:
0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12
What do you notice? We only count every second number.
If we skip count by 3 to 12, it looks like this:
0, 3, 6, 9, 12
What do you notice? You only counted every third number!
and by 4, it looks like this:
0, 4, 8, 12.
What do you notice, you only counted every fourth number.
Mission 1:
Find 24 different small items in your house, practice your skip counting:
Skip count them by 2.
